"Family Guy" and "American Dad" set to move from BBC Three to ITV2

Following BBC3's anticipated move online, ITV have acquired the broadcast rights to the hit US comedy Family Guy for ITV2, reports The Radio Times.

In a terrible move by the BBC, the US comedy created by Seth MacFarlane will move from BBC3 to ITV2 later this year, with American Dad also set to transfer to the digital channel.

The planned closure of BBC3 as a broadcast channel means limited budgets for both buy-ins and original shows, and Family Guy was expected to be one of the casualties.

However, the new deal with ITV means that the cult comedy will still be available free-to-air in the UK, in what the channel calls a "multi-year deal".

Rights to Seth MacFarlane's animated comedies Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show and new series Bordertown are all part of the deal.

Comedy Central UK to premiere "Two and a Half Men" series finale on Monday 6th April 2015

All good things must come to an end.

Digiguide is reporting that Comedy Central UK and Ireland will premiere the final episode of hit sitcom Two and a Half Men, titled Of Course He's Dead, on Monday 6th April 2015 at 9:00pm.

In the series finale, Alan Harper receives a letter informing him that millions in royalties for his brother, Charlie Harper, is unclaimed. He needs a death certificate to collect it - but is Charlie really dead? Look out for guest stars from the shows past!

Following the debut, Comedy Central will encore The Roast of Charlie Sheen, hosted by Family Guy's Seth Macfarlane, at 11:00pm.

Sony Pictures Plans "Ghostbusters" Cinematic Universe

Entertainment news publications Deadline Hollywood and The Hollywood Reporter are reporting the exciting Ghostbusters news that Sony Pictures is planning to broaden its Ghostbusters franchise and the first order of business will be an action-centric comedy that is a counterpart to the upcoming Paul Feig-directed Ghostbusters movie that will start production in June 2015!

The studio is simultaneously forming Ghostcorps, a new production company whose principals include original Ghostbusters architects Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd; they will have offices at Sony with the mission to create branding opportunities based on the 1984 comedy classic.

The first order of business will be to develop a new male-oriented Ghostbusters that will be released after the much ballyhooed female-centric movie being put together by Paul Feig. The movie, which is to star Kirsten Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, shoots this summer and will be released July 22, 2016.
