Ghostbusters: Afterlife Gets Delayed until January in Australia & New Zealand, with More Countries Expected to Join List

Some unfortunate news to report today as Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been further delayed in some international markets. While a complete list of updated release dates has yet to be released, Ghostbusters News has confirmed that fans eager to see the film in both Australia and New Zealand will have to wait until January 1st, 2022.

Over the weekend, there were strong rumors regarding the Australian delay. Some fans noticed several Australian-based theatres had changed the release date from December 2nd to January, with Ghostbusters News confirming the change.

Adding another country to the list, the official Sony Pictures New Zealand YouTube channel uploaded the second Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer, confirming New Zealand’s release was pushed to the new year.

From what Ghostbusters News has heard, some parts of Asia will likely see similar delays, with the film arriving somewhere between January and February.

To clarify, these delays in no way affect the North American release, which is expected to arrive exclusively in theatres on November 19th, 2021.
