Ghostbusters II Score to Feature an Unreleased track; Vinyl Interior Artwork Revealed

Earlier this morning, various listings for Randy Edelman’s long-awaited Ghostbusters II score were updated, giving Ghostbusters fans not only their first look at the interior artwork of the vinyl but information on both an unreleased song and a few re-recordings that’ll be featured within the release!

As you can see above, the vinyl will feature a pretty stunning interior, showcasing the main four Ghostbusters (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson) and Sigourney Weaver, along with images (including the famous Titanic scene) from the film that are held together by pink mood slime. Speaking of that mood slime, you’ll also see that the vinyl features a pink slime splatter effect.

While the full tracklisting was previously released, some of the listings provided additional information, informing us that an unreleased song featured in the film will be included, along with three newly re-recorded tracks. Check out that info below.

For the first time ever – 32 years after the film’s 1989 release – the Original Score to Ghostbusters II will be available across digital and physical formats from Sony Classical. The album includes original tracks as well as 3 newly re-recorded tracks and an additional track originally recorded for Ghostbusters II but not featured in the film.

An audio sample of the track “The Scoleri Brothers” can be heard via Amazon.com, which you can check out by clicking here.

Sony has yet to confirm an actual release date, but from online listings, it appears that the digital and CD release will arrive on August 13th, with the vinyl release expected October 15th.
