Merlin Entertainments has revealed it will open a new Ghostbusters 5D attraction at Heide Park in Germany in 2017!
Partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Ghostbusters 5D: The Ultimate Ghosthunt (locally titled Ghostbusters 5D: Die Ultimative Geisterjagd) will be exclusive to the park and will open in spring 2017.
It will be Europe’s only 5D Ghostbusters experience, based on the 1984 classic and 2016 reboot.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the second time in a year,” said Mark Fisher, Merlin Entertainments’ chief development officer.
“Who wouldn’t want to answer the call, and fight their way through a ghost-infested warehouse? Our collaboration with Sony Pictures continues to deliver unforgettable experiences for our visitors, bringing to Germany a new level of immersive entertainment.”
Jeffrey Godsick, evp, worldwide partnerships at Sony Pictures Entertainments, added: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Merlin Entertainments which began earlier this year with the Ghosbusters: Dimension Virtual Reality immersive experience at Madame Tussauds New York, in collaboration with The Void.
“With the brand new Ghostbusters 5D ride in Heide Park, fans of the franchise will have the opportunity to engage with it like never before.”
