Sony Unveils Dan Aykroyd's Cameo In Upcoming "Ghostbusters" Movie At CinemaCon 2016

Sony Pictures previewed the studios upcoming Ghostbusters reboot and unveiled Dan Aykroyd's cameo role in the movie during Sony CinemaCon 2016!

For Sony's Ghostbusters presentation at CinemaCon, the lights shut off, and green spotlights started flickering. Footage then played of the Ecto 1 cutting corners in Las Vegas up to the front of Caesars. The footage was followed by Paul Feig and Ghostbusters 2016 stars Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig on stage to banter around. "The originals loom large for me, I love an underdog story," said McCarthy. McKinnon described her time on the set dealing with her costume as "I was pleased there was room for my crouch to breath this summer. Thanks for coming!"

The fivesome then launched clips and more extra footage. One scene featured the lead-up to where Wiig, McCarthy and McKinnon encounter the ghost at the museum, before it pukes slime on Wiig's character, Erin Gilbert. Another clip previewed the scene where Jones asks for a job at Ghostbusters HQ. Attendees also got to see the Ghostbusters' receptionist Kevin (Chris Hemsworth) get possessed by a ghost and pop wheelies on a motorcycle, as well as a sneak peek of a very special scene...

In the scene, ghosts are swarming Times Square and the Ghostbusters wave down a taxi. The city is being overrun by ghosts but this cab driver is unflappable. He turns around... and its the one and only Dan Aykroyd! An original Ghostbusters cast member! He turns around in his seat to say to his ghostbustin' passengers that "I ain't afraid of no ghosts"! Wiig quickly corrects him, "Sir, I believe it's correctly said, I am not afraid of any ghost"!

In all, the movies VFX were spectacular - and lucky attendees got to see a new big ghost villain, a bobbing Jack-in-the-Box type head as well as footprint that could belong to Mr. Stay Puff!
