Ghostbusters, Doctor Who and Back to the Future Collide in New Lego Dimensions Trailer

This is the sci-fi Doctors mash-up you've been waiting for – and when I say mashup, I mean it...

In WB Games' new Lego Dimensions trailer, Dr. Venkman from Ghostbusters, Dr. 'Doc' Emmett Brown from Back to the Future and the Doctor from Doctor Who are all driving up to the same four-way stop in their respective vehicles (Ecto 1, a DeLorean and Police box, respectively). Being as polite as they are, none of them can figure out who should make their turn first. It all comes to a head when their patience grows thin, and for some reason decide to run head-on at full speed, resulting with them crashing their vehicles at a crossroads. Plastic CGI bricks everywhere...:

Ghostbusters aficionados can get a Peter Venkman minifigure, Proton Pack, Ecto-1, Ghost Trap, and a mission that has players fighting Gozer in New York City in the Ghostbusters Level Pack for $29.99. The Back to the Future Level Pack features a Marty McFly minifigure, the DeLorean Time Machine, a Hoverboard, and the Hill Valley Time Travel Adventure level for the same price. The Doc Brown Fun Pack comes separately at $14.99 with a Doc Brown minifigure and the Travelling Time Train.

Fans of the Whoniverse got a level in the Lego Dimensions Starter Pack, but they can also pick up The Doctor Who Level Pack as well. It comes with a 12th Doctor minifigure, the TARDIS, and K-9. Although it only comes with the 12th doctor as a physical figure, players can play as any of the previous doctors as well.

In other Ghostbusters and Back to the Future news...

There's been a lot of fan theories surrounding the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. However, it's time to put them all to rest, because his identity is finally revealed! He's not some flame-resistant version of Anakin/Darth Vader, or Darth Plagueis the wise. He's actually... Gozer the Gozerian from Ghostbusters!

Doctor Who series 9 has already shown fans that the writers and set designers have a knack for hiding superb sci-fi references in the show but with Face The Raven, they took it one step further. And my, they did it in style. If you were watching VERY closely – like one eagle-eyed fan – you might have spotted some funny writing on the wall in Diagon Alley the secret Street:

This is Doctor Who, though, so OF COURSE that's not just any old writing. It's Aurebesh, a dialect from the Star Wars universe.
And when you get a copy of the Aurebesh alphabet and translate the writing on the wall, you get something very interesting indeed.

Minds blown.

DeLorean cars - made famous by the Back To The Future movies - are set to go into production again for the first time in around 33 years!

The car was originally made by the DeLorean Motor Company in Northern Ireland. Around 9,000 cars were made between 1981 and 1983. Only 6,500 are still believed to exist. In 1995 Stephen Wynne began selling refurbished DeLoreans in Texas. But now his firm, still using the name the DeLorean Motor Company, is able to build new cars as well, following changes to the laws governing small scale car manufacturers.
