Bill Murray And Dan Aykroyd To Appear In Upcoming "Ghostbusters" Movie

Bill Murray ain't afraid of no reboot!

The actor, who played Dr. Peter Venkman in the original Ghostbusters movie in 1984 and the films sequel Ghostbusters II in 1989, will appear in director Paul Feig's upcoming installment of the franchise, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed!

Murray has long been resistant to star in a third Ghostbusters movie. He told David Letterman earlier this year that his hesitancy stems from Ghostbusters II not having been as well-received as the first one.

Dan Aykroyd, who played Dr. Ray Stantz in the original film, will also reportedly make a cameo in the new Ghostbusters movie! Aykroyd will play a cab driver who shares a scene with Kristen Wiig. The original Ghostbusters star will apparently drop the famous "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" line.

It's not the first time the actor has thrown back to his iconic role - he also appeared in the uniform in 1995's Casper.

Aykroyd is a fan of the upcoming reboot, and in June said the film was going to be "massive".

"This one with the four girls is going to be massive. Oh man, it's funny. It's intelligent. It hits the right notes, and I'm really excited about it!"

It has also been revealed that Saturday Night Live star Neil Casey will play the villain in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.

Feig's film, which is currently shooting, stars Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan and Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann. It hits theaters on Friday 22nd July 2016.

Additionally, the stars of the upcoming Ghostbusters movie recently visited a Children's Hospital in Full Costume! The cast of director Paul Feig's upcoming Ghostbusters film helped raise spirits at the Children's Hospital in Boston.

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones appeared in full costume, wearing their familiar jumpsuits and Proton Packs with Neutrona Wands, at Tufts Medical Center, where they posed for photos with patients on Saturday 1st August 2015. The facility shared pics on its Facebook and Twitter pages.

"Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones came to visit!" read the Facebook post. "Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! ‪#‎WhoYouGonnaCall‬ ‪#‎Ghostbusters‬."

The hospital's Facebook page added the following caption about the above photo: "This sweet patient couldn't have visitors in the room when the Ghostbusters were there but wanted a photograph, so the ladies posed outside the room to get her in the shot. Very thoughtful ladies!" Additionally, Jones retweeted several photos posted by other people of the cast with patients.

A number of film stars have appeared in costume to help cheer up hospital patients this year, including Johnny Depp dressing as Jack Sparrow in Australia, along with Marvel stars Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) donning their outfits in Seattle.
