Thank Zuul! The Ghostbusters are back, and they're all brand new! Lego is celebrating the 30th birthday of the iconic film with a set of figures and the cult car from the movie

LEGO's 508-piece Ghostbusters set will feature the Ectomobile, Ecto-1, which is based on a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance, minifigures of the movie's main characters - the boys in grey: Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Raymond Stanz, Dr. Egon Spengler and Dr. Winston Zeddemore - complete with their ghost-busting equipment, including proton packs and ghost traps, and the iconic "Ghostbusters" logo.

The Ecto-1 will also include a detachable/removable roof, ghost tracking, catching and elimination equipment, seats for 3 minifigs to sit in, and an "over abundance of sirens", according to Lego.

Danish toy company Lego has unveiled its first ever Ghostbusters set, which includes the iconic Ecto-1 car and characters of all four comedy heroes.

LEGO Ghostbusters will retail at $49.99 in the USA.

Unfortunately, the LEGO Ghostbusters kit won't include the much-loved ghost character Slimer (also known as Onionhead and Little Spud) or the Ghostbusters' New York Firehouse HQ.

Super GhostHead Brent Waller got the chance to design the kit, on sale in June 2014, after receiving more than 10,000 votes as part of Lego's CUUSOO campaign to allow fans to come up with their own sets.

Brent, a graphic designer from Australia, said: "As a child I would recreate Ghostbusters out of Lego."

"I had a very primitive Ecto-1, Ecto-1A and the Firehouse as well as all of the main characters with 'Classic Space' air-tanks for Proton Packs."

"As an adult rediscovering my love of Lego, recreating it now was a way of recapturing that unbridled creativity of my youth."

A Lego spokesperson said: "This fun and iconic vehicle from the blockbusting '80s movie is fully loaded with all the paranormal detection equipment needed to track down those ghastly ghosts."
