According to Film Ratings, Ghostbusters: Afterlife has officially been given a PG-13 rating by the MPAA for “supernatural action and suggestive material.”
The first two Ghostbusters films both carried a PG rating; however, it’s important to note the introduction of the PG-13 rating came shortly after the release of the original film. Paul Feig’s 2016 Ghostbusters reboot was rated PG-13.
Originally set for a July 10th, 2020 release date, Ghostbusters: Afterlife has seen three delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a current release scheduled for November 11th, 2021.
