Ghostbusters: Afterlife director Jason Reitman shares image of dissected Ecto-1 While news on the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife film has been a bit scarce as of late, last night, director Jason Reitman took to social media to share the below image.

It appears as if the Ecto-1 in the image is also not the ’59 Cadillac, but instead, a ’61 as fans were quick to point on social media. The common belief is that the Ecto has been dissected to help with filming interior shots from within the Cadillac, a pretty standard practice in filmmaking.
